Charol Armand

With nearly 28 total years as an educator, Mrs. Armand joined Our Lady of Prompt Succor School 17 years ago and was blessed to teach first grade for most of them. She's also served as Assistant Principal, reading/ English curriculum coordinator, and fourth-grade teacher. After earning her Master’s Degree in counseling from LSU and later a Plus 30 in education from UNO, she began her career as a Clinical Instructor at LSU Health Sciences Center. After spending a few years in public secondary education, she found her niche in Catholic elementary education.
Professionally, she strives to model the value of lifelong learning through participation and membership in various educational programs. While serving on external review committees with AdvancED and Cognia, she gained valuable knowledge on how to meet the needs of students in the 21st century. As curriculum coordinator at OLPS, she was responsible for the implementation of the school’s Blending Learning Program which fosters individualized instruction so that students are able to reach their full potential. Personally, she is married for 28 years, has 3 daughters, 1 grandson, and 3 dogs. "I am proud and excited to have the unique opportunity to serve as principal of my children’s alma mater in the community where I was born and raised. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, like most schools, will experience unprecedented challenges in the year ahead, but with the commitment and dedication of our talented, enthusiastic, and well-prepared faculty and staff, we will meet those challenges head-on. I look forward to serving as the academic and spiritual leader where Faith, Family, and Knowledge are our guiding principles."

Since that time she has taught middle school science and social studies while serving as Dean of Students for the last several years. This school year, Mrs. Seube will be teaching 5th and 7th grade science, while continuing her role on the Leadership Team as Dean of Students.
"I strive to maintain a fun and relaxed classroom environment which helps to foster my student’s love of learning. When it comes to science, I believe that science is not just something you learn, it’s something that you do. My approach to teaching science is through hands-on learning activities that push students to think like and become scientists. I love when students realize that science is not just a bunch of topics they memorize, but a series of actions that can help them solve problems and answer questions.”
